Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Non-custodial parent relocation...

My fiance has a 7 year old daughter with his ex-girlfriend and he has visitations with her every other weekend and some holidays. We are getting married in June and want to relocate to Louisiana (where I'm from) to build a house, etc. I've been reading all over the internet about what to do about a custodial parent moving with the child, but never a non-custodial parent moving. He still wants visitations with her but, obviously, it can't be every other weekend. What would he need to do to get a revised visitation? Will the custodial parent have to be in agreement before anything can take place? Also, how long does this process usually take?

He would need to file an Amended Parenting Plan showing the new proposed visitation schedule, who will bear the cost of transporation, where the transfer point is located, etc. I can prepare this document.
