Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee
Does a parenting plan have to be on file
When my ex and I divorced I was awarded custody of our then 2yo son. A parenting plan was filed. I remarried and had him until he was 4. Due to marriage problems, I left the state with my child to visit friends for a few weeks. He demanded our son back and I brought him. F then got emergency custody due to me leaving state. I appeared in court to fight temp. A permanent hearing was to be scheduled. Gave current address to his attorney. Notice of hearing sent to other state. Default judgement was ordered stating I did not show up. There was no parenting plan filed. Ex husband is withholding my visitations (for almost a year) and phone calls to my son. How can I get either my son back or more access to him?

You need to file a petition with the court to seek visitation. You should have an attorney review your case to see what the best route is going to be.
