Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee
I am the primary parent and have been raising my 6 year old daughter with my current husband for over 3 years now. My ex husband hasn't been in my daughters life for almost three years and has now sought visitaion the visits are supervised due to his history of drug use and alcohol use. My question is- I called my lawyer about a week and a half ago to see what my opinions we're on having my ex randomly drug tested through the courts and he preceeded to tell me I couldn't do so without suspicion or evidence- So I left it alone. The following Tuesay I received a petition for court on the 21st- I was asking opinions and cost and now he's already set things in motion and I have no idea what costs are going to add up to.or why things changed his perspective all of a sudden. I called and left messages so I can start saving toward fees if any- but no reply I'm so confused- Advice please ladies- calling back in am to see if I can get any information but worried all the same bc something had to happen for him to just draft the petition after our conversation
