Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Reasonable Visitation

Can you please tell me what the law in Tn. considers reasonable visitation for a father? In court the judge said visitation would be 6pm Friday to 6pm Sunday every other weekend, but when we received the final papers it said "reasonable visitation". Now the mother of the child has written out a schedule for the father to follow giving him visitation for 2 hrs. each weekend at her house. Can we take her to court for contempt if she doesn't comply?

Re: Reasonable Visitation

There is no set definition of "reasonable visitation" in Tennessee, but generally it is considered to be alternating weekends, altenating hoildays, a week a t Christmas and two weeks during the summer.

In your case you need to go back to court to both ask teh court to find her in contempt AND to get a set visitation schedule down.
