Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Request for increase in child support

My ex-husband and I entered into a Marital Settlement Agreement which was final in Nov 2003. In the decree we BOTH agreed I would pay child support BELOW state guidelines based on the fact we both earned the same amount of money and I had almost 50% visitation. My ex keeps threatening to take me back to court to ask for more child support. I am making less money now than when we got divorced and I still see my son the same amount of time. Can my ex get an increase in support without showing any change in circumstances even though the original amount agreed upon was below state guidelines?

Re: Request for increase in child support

He must show a significant change in circumstances in order to alter the amount ordered by the court. This is difficult to do and based on the facts as you relay them, it seems unlikely.
