Retainment fees

I paid $2500 retainment fee for an attorney and once the case was dismissed I have a remaining balance of $700.00. I have notified the attorney and request an inquiry of my account and have the remaining deposit return to me. After 2wks I have not received a response. I would like to know is this money rightfully mine?

It completely depends on your agreement with the attorney. Some retainer fees are nonrefundable.
