Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee
Speration/Divorce
Ive been married 7 yrs. My hubby supported me pretty much the whole time. I worked back in 05. When terminated I got a settlement. Out of that settlement, I paid ayear lease in advance for where we live now. Can he just make me leave? Both of our names are on the lease, He was only bringing in work comp at the time. I can show proof of the settlement to show that I had the means to pay a lease out.

No, he can not "make you leave" any more than you can make him leave. You both have a right to be there at this time assuming no physical abuse. However, when a divorce is filed, one or both of you may file a petition for exclusive posession of the marital residence and the judge will have to decide how to handle that. Good luck.
