My husband has one adoptive daughter. We do not have any children.If he were to pass where would I stand on his estate? What protection would I have? Would everything go to me then her after my death? Wanting to know I will be ok in my elder years. HIs retirement,insurance ,etc.

It doesn't matter that she is adopted. She would take the same as a biological child, which means both you and she would be entitled to a share if your husband dies without a will.
