Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Step dad rights

My ex husband is threatening to take me back to court due to my new husband is spending time with kids. New husband took son ,8, out for few hours and son had great time.. so much that he was telling his dad about everything they did. Ex calls me on phone and after 45 min of yelling at me, says my new husband is not allowed to be around kids when I am not there. Ex also says he determines what the kids can do while at my house. My ex is financially well off and can drop 5k on attorney no problem while I can not. So I keep doing what he says in fear that I will get hauled back to court with no lawyer. Does ex have that right to say what kids do at my house and that they can not go anywhere with their step dad?

Re: Step dad rights

In general your ex cannot control these aspects as long as your husband is not a risk for the children and is not bad mouthing ex.
