Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Step mother

My father owns his home. Him and my step-mother has been separated for about 7 years. His home is in both of there names. I have lived with him for about 5 years. If something were to happen to him (I hope not) would my step-mother get the home? What am I entitled to? My father has had the house paid off for quite awhile.

It depends on if there are legally separated and what the agreement provided for. If there is no agreement and the house is owned by both of them, then she would probably have a right of survivorship on the home. He needs to seek a divorce to settle the matter.
