Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee
step-parent
I have been alienated from my two daughters and now my youngest daughter has come forward and has told the special master of the court that she is being whipped with "the big black belt" by her step-mother for not finishing chores. She is also getting whippings for not finishing "worksheets" sent by her to my house during our visit. DHS has been called, but they say we have to see bruises on her. The judge in this case has said he is limited because of an appeal my ex has filed. I am desperate to get my daughter out of this situation. She is now wanting to live with me.She is 11 years old. Thank you for your time.

Your post asks no questions. There are things you can do.... but they depend on what your goals are. Simply wanting to get your daughter out of her present situation is different from seeking custody your self and may require different strategies. Feel free to call.
