Voluntary Surrender to non family member
Our daughter (over 21) voluntarily surrendered her rights to our grandchild to a non family member. We have custody of her other child. Our daughter (and children) was living with us at the time. She moved out and gave the child away a few days later. He was almost 5 mos. old. We want to get him back and adopt both children. Is there any law or statute that you know of that can help us? Is there anyone at all out there that can help us? Why do the laws seem to be against family members in these cases?

The laws are NOT against family members.
I might be able to help, but the post leaves certain questions unanswered.
Wouldn't know whether there is any law or statute that might help you without discussing the facts of the case in far greater detail.
One question is whether your daughter simply agreed to allow the other couple to have CUSTODY or whether she signed a release forme in fact giving up her parental rights.
And where is the biological father in all of this?
