Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Wife will not bring children home after Christmas break

My wife filed for divorce in Oklahoma in June and put in the petition that I signed that the children would be living in Tennessee with me. The divorce is pending because she wasn't sure about what she wanted to do. She took them to Oklahoma for the holidays and just called and told me that she is not bringing them back. What can I do to get my children back to their home? I have not lived in Tennessee long enough to file and all I have is the petition and a notorized piece of paper saying that the kids would be living with me.

Even if you had lived in TN long enough to file here, your wife has already filed in Oklahoma. What you need to do is to answer that divorce complaint there, file a counter-complaint and pursue your children there.
