Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Two Women

I live with both my lawful wife and my mistress. We all get along great and have a loving relationship. I also have two minor children with my wife. Am I committing any crime in this arrangement? Am I violating any plygamy, bigamy, common law, or cohabitation laws within my state? Could I be risking the custody of my children under these conditions?

Re: Two Women

You are violating no state law, and you are not risking removal of the children by the state (unless you expose the children to sexual conduct or to fighting between yourself and either of the women, but that is the same as if you were just living with your wife alone). What you are doing is likely harmful to the kids, but it exposes you to no legal problems with the state of Tennessee.
