Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Tennessee
Good person makes honest mistake.
I was charged with underage drinking around July of this year. Near the end of the term of my supervised probation I ended up missing a court date because I had written down the wrong date the judge gave me on my first court appearance. I went to my probation officer first and she told me to talk to the District Attorney. I went to him and he told me that there was going to be a warrant issued for my arrest. I was then told to turn myself in and that I would have to arrange for bail. Being independent and 20 at the time, I was incapable of paying for bail. I ended up moving back home with my parents and have not heard anything from anyone. What should I do? It is ruining my college career and made me decide to also break my apartment lease, which in turn will bring more legal issues. I have been told that they eventually drop it. My friend was actually in the same situation and has been pulled over twice in the county he violated his probation with and he never got arrested. Is this something I should worry about?

call and hire an attorney to get you a "set aside order". From you post, sounds like you still have a warrant for your arrest outstanding. Feel free to contact me if you have further questions.
