Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Tennessee
Item sold on ebay
I sold a 1939 truck on ebay. In description stated that truck had some rust and that there was no title only a bill of sale. Buyer called and asked several questions which I answered truthfully. He won item in auction then sent someone next day to pick up truck. Heard nothing from him for 3-4 days so contacted him to see how he was liking truck. He started yelling and screaming at me. He has accused me of lying about truck and left a threatening voice mail. Also left negative feedback on ebay stating that he believes truck is stolen which is untrue. I have several witnesses as to shape truck was in when it left. He has had truck for over a week. He wants us to refund his money. He has had several negative feedbacks about how he acts after purchase which we were not aware of until after the sale. What do we need to do in this situation. We were honest with him about the condition of the truck. I feel like he is trying to get something for nothing. Thanks.

Re: Item sold on ebay
I had a similar case except I represented the buyer. You can contact eBay and tell them the problem. eBay has a department that handles this exact thing. You must save the ad you ran in a PDF file because he will probably sue you to get his money back. What you said in your ad is very important so I hope it is still running so you can download it into a PDF file. If he doesn't sue you, of course then you don't have to worry about it but if he does, get your photos, your ad, and your witnesses together because you'll need them for court.
