Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Tennessee

what are my rights?

My next door neighbors cats took up residence under my carport and on top of my car. I wrote them letters asking them to please keep them off of my property. After checking with our city's animal control, I was told that the cats were considered nuisance cats and I had the right to have them removed from my property. I wrote another letter to my neighbors telling them this. Subsequently one of their cats was removed from my property and later euthanized. My next door neighbor sent an email to another neighbor who has since sent the police to my door to ''scare me'' and proceeded to email most of my other neighbors that I am a ''cat killer''. What can I do?

Re: what are my rights?

Any lawyer would need a lot more detail than this in order to evaluate your situation. You may have some rights in this situation, but you also may not.

I would recommend that you gather together all of the documents that you have and sit down with a lawyer to discuss your situation. However, this may be a situation in which there is little that you can do.
