Legal Question in Immigration Law in Tennessee

Me and my husband got married 4 months ago and a month later he was diagnosed with cancer. He refused to take chemotherapy, his life is in danger. In case he dies will I have to go back to my country? Is there any possible way to finish university if that really happens or there is no way to do if I become a widow? Thank you for your attention to this matter.
