Legal Question in Immigration Law in Tennessee

My father is a citizen and file to paper to make me a recident but just passed away, my question is that since he is no longer alive does my applycation get denied? or can I continue with the process? thank you.

Since you must be petitioned for by someone other than yourself, your application will be denied. Hopefully you can get another relative to petition for you in another application. Good luck.
