Legal Question in Insurance Law in Tennessee
Our Dogs Damaged Another Person's Vehicle
We own a small business that is next door to our home. Someone drove into our parking lot in a truck with a dog in the truck bed. Our dogs jumped on the side of the truck and scratched the paint on the truck. The owner of the truck wanted to know what I intended to do about this. I appologized for the scratches and explained that dogs are territorial when a strange dog comes on their property. This only made the person angry. He left, but I don't think this will be the end of the story. What is our liability as homeowners and business owners?
Thank you in advance.
