Legal Question in Insurance Law in Tennessee
Is there any recourse for the classic "totalled car 2 months from being paid off......low mileage....many serviceable years ahead" scenario ? Of course with the "other party at fault" caveat. Just wondering if there's any alternative to the paltry insurance settlement, when losing a low-mileage, quality paid-off car. Thank You

The question as to what the negligent driver must pay you is the value of the car. The books are only "guides". The big problem is the differential in what the books say and what the car is really worth in your mind may be hard to convince a judge.
Remember, the claim is against the negligent driver.
