Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Tennessee
DMCA and whistleblower provisions?
Are there any ''whistleblower'' provisions in the DMCA? If so, what is the process for initiating such action?

Re: DMCA and whistleblower provisions?
I write the legal column for Local 257 American Federation of Musicians newspaper - "The Nashville Musician." The latest edition of "The Nashville Musician" contains my article on the Digital Millineum Copyright Act.
The DMCA contains what are termed anti-trafficking provisions which provide in substance that no person shall manufacture, import, offer to the public, provide or otherwise traffic in any technology, product, service, device, component, or part thereof, that is primarily designed or produced for the purpose of circumventing a technological measure that effectively controls access to intellectual property content.
You would normally write a cease and desist letter to the copyright infringer before instituting court action.
