Legal Question in Employment Law in Tennessee
it's that ok
The company that I work for is remodeling and they had all of the employes in the building will the contracter are painting and everything else. This morning I walk in to work and they told us that we were all off for the next two day without pay because they were putting in the carpet and only the second shift could work and first shift and their were like only 2 other ladies , they did stay to work. Is that right? Can I do something about it ? Because they could of call us to tell all the workers that we were off some people drove 30 minutes o get to work for nothing.

It is rude, but not illegal unless you are on salary, then they must pay you your base salary.
