Legal Question in Employment Law in Tennessee

evaluation

I have been working for this same company for going on 25 years.I am 61 years old.I sign a job bid and got the job and been working in this department for 3 months. There is only 3 of us on this shift and I feel like the leadperson has it in for me since I come up with better way of doing the job that is safety.I guess I have walked on her toes without meaning to.We get along ok I thought. Then I went in and had my evaluation and everything was bad.Lies after lies and all I could do was to sit there and asked them where did they get this from it was all lies.I have never had a write up or anything about job performance.Said I stay on the phone too much,I'm never on the phone, the others ones that works in there are on the phone and they have seen them and never said anything to them.I have seen them working and talking at the same time.I'm not a team player,I came from a department and we was just like family it was 8 of us in that lab.I loved each one of them and they gave me a big dinner when I left.I asked if they talked to any of them and they said no.Also they said I knew the company policy well but will use it for her benedit.I need to improve on this. All I could do was to cry.I was hurt so bad to be lied.I think they are going

Re: evaluation

It's difficult to say exactly what will happen next in your employment. Unless this is some form of discrimination or retaliation, it is likely not illegal. To find out more about illegal employment practices, you can visit my website, www.memphisemploymentlawyer.net.

With that being said, there may be some actions you can take to help you in your situation. I would recommend consulting with an attorney who handles primarily labor and employment matters to get some advice on how to handle this situation.
