Legal Question in Employment Law in Tennessee

Hostile Work Environment

I have a supervisor who constantly wants the employees to be her friend and go out and do ''off time'' activities with her (not sexual, she just wants everyone to be her friend). When we have rejected that she takes it out on us by talking about each of us with our peers. The office is in a constant state of ''defense'' because she talks about others, spreads rumors and gossip and then tries to make up. I have talked to her, HR, and administration about this problem. Now she is trying to find grounds to fire me. I have never been counseled and have two years of glowing reviews. I am not the only one who has made complaints and she has 4 letters of complaints. i have docuemtation of a consistent pattern of behavior for over two years. What is my next step? I think I am about to be fired for trying to make her leave me alone. Do I have a case and how should I persue this?

Re: Hostile Work Environment

You may have a claim against her personally for interference with your employment relationship. This cause of action is against her only, but it might be some leverage to resolve the situation.
