Legal Question in Employment Law in Tennessee

Sexual harrassment + personal liability

If I am accused of sexual harrassment, can I be held personally liable in such a case? Do I need an attorney to sit along side my employer's attorney?

There is the possibility of a lawsuit against you individually for the sexual harassment. Depending on your situation, this may be more than a possibility. Additionally, anytime you are a named party to a lawsuit, you should at least consult with an attorney to go over your situation and determine what sorts of rights and liabilities you may have.

You can be sued individually. Such cases are becoming more common place. Your company's attorney is looking out for the company, not you. You should have your own attorney to make sure you are protected.
