Legal Question in Employment Law in Tennessee

How to get a stay

I work on a union job that is under a central conference.

We have a couple of employees under another atlantic conference who are being allowed to come into our conference and bring their conferences wages, seniority, pension,

etc.

Our seniority goes by job classification, theirs goes by company or hire date these guys will be jumping the seniority dates of hundreds of other workers in our conference.

We have filed appeals to get the decision reversed.

My question is can we get a judge to issue a stay to stop this action until our apppeals have been heard and decisions made on them?

If so what is the procedure I would have to go through to get before a judge and ask him to issue a stay until the appeals are heard?

Thanks

Re: How to get a stay

You may be able to get a stay depending upon the terms of your union by-laws, collective bargaining agreements and any other agreements which govern your situation.

You would need to get an attorney to review all of those documents, gather appropriate facts and prepare court documents to approach a judge for an injunction.
