Termination
If an employee is terminated can the employer give out the reason for termination to other employees or the community?

The answer to your question is going to be sometimes. In most cases, the employer is giving the reason for your termination to a subsequent employer. This is usually legal, unless the reason being given is false. The Tennessee legislature has passed a law which grants this type of communication a rebuttable presumption of legality.
