unauthorized use of social security number

I recently became aware that my boss has been using my SS# to obtain checks from corporate for more hours than she is paying me. What actions can I take? I was being paid w/o a 1099 being issued.

First, you should report this conduct to HR. I question whether or not you should be getting a 1099. Your boss has probably told corporate that you are an independent contractor. If you are improperly classified as an independent contractor you are being cheated out of tax benefits and payments. This 1099 status makes it easier for your boss to skim payments off the company. How is he cashing the checks?
