Legal Question in Employment Law in Tennessee

USPS hiring practice

I am applying for a job with the USPostalService. I signed a form authorizing medical insurance companies to release my medical records to the USPS. This was a requirement for employment consideration. Is this legal and will they really receive all of my medical records?

Without knowing more about your situation, it is not legal for any employer to request copies of your medical records prior to offering you employment. If you would like to schedule a consultation to discuss your rights, please contact me at [email protected].
