Legal Question in Employment Law in Tennessee
wage reduction
My question is, if youve been working in a plant at 14.10/ hr. somebody else buys the plant, how far can they reduce your wages at one time by law?

Re: wage reduction
Assuming that there is no contract, they can legally reduce your wages to minimum wage. Of course, they can't do it retroactively and practically, the new owners may have some morale issues if they drastically chop wages. However, there is nothing in the law which prevents wage cuts.
