workers comp
My wife was Injured at work. She is now on workers comp. The company is laying off & firing people latly due to the lack of business.If she gets released to return to work. Can they fire her as soon as she returns?

Probably yes. As a general rule, if the company has a legitimate reason to terminate an individual's employment (i.e., a reduction in force), then being on workers' compensation is not a shield against that event.
