Legal Question in Employment Law in Tennessee

Wrongful termination from employment

I know Tennessee is not a right to work state. I held the position of Teller III at a local Bank for all most 7 years. I had filed a discrimination claim with the bank against the person who terminated me just over one year prior to my termination. I was terminated due to outages leading to losses. How ever I had not exceeded the companies gidelines of $425.00 for the year of 2006 in which I was terminated. Do I have a case?

Re: Wrongful termination from employment

It is possible that you may have a claim for an illegal termination. The important question is going to be whether you can prove that the articulated reason for your termination is not the real reason. If so, it is possible that you can prove a case of retaliatory termination.
