Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Tennessee

Commercial Tenant

I rent an auto body shop in tennessee. The other day my landlord called me and said he was changing the locks while one of my employees was still working because I was late on my rent. I was not there when he changed the lock. I told him I would have some money for him in the morning. The next morning I brought him half the money, I told him I would have the other half in the afternoon, I told him he could go home and I would bring it to him. He stayed at the shop I rent from him all day drinking beer, and telling my customers that I was locked out and going out of business. Should I sue him?

Re: Commercial Tenant

Did you suffer a loss? Customers? income? reputation? If the answer is yes to these questions...then yes, sue him.
