It depends on the circumstances in the case. The eviction notice should have a date on there as it can vary from 2 weeks (if you've received a prior notice) to a month. If you are behind in rent, it is probably in your best interest to move out as soon as possible as the landlord will probably seek a recovery of back rent and any other fees he/she can add on.
