Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Tennessee

facing eviction

In Aug 2007, I signed a lease from Sept2007 to Aug 31 2007. I paid 10 months in advance. This month (June2007) they sent me an overdue bill for this month(june)with overdue penalty and when I called them about the error they told me I paid for last August!! The lease is from Sept.2007... what can I due (they are already seeking legal action against me)

Without seeing the terms of the contract, I cannot give you an opinion - the outcome will largely be determined by the date of occupance.
