Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Tennessee
Lease violation responsibilities
I understand that if I have a lease on my apartment for one year and that if I move out before that time, I am responsible for the remainder of the monthly rent, until it is rented again. But, what if I break the terms of the lease by having a pet, which is forbidden by the lease, and the landlord terminates the lease and asks me to move out, then would I be free from the responsibility of any further rent?
