Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Tennessee

Liens

How as Landlord, do I place a lien on tenants who left owing me close to $4,000 rent & other bills, and I recently found out from them that they are about to file bankruptcy.

Any help is appreciated.

You can file suit against the debtor and upon obtaining a judgment you can file the judgment as a lien against the property.
