Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Tennessee
My late mother's vacant house (appraised at $180,000) was destroyed by a tornado in Tennessee and the court-appointed executor of her estate had never gotten any insurance on it. Is there anything the heirs can do since it was the executor's responsibility to procure insurance?

Without hearing all of the facts, it is difficult to say but generally you might check to see if the administrator has a bond for the estate. You'd be best served by seeking the advice of an attorney that practices in your county in estate law especially given the amount at stake.
