failed drug test for army reserve

If a solider first offence in any trouble fail a drug test for marjiuana what would be some actions taken? The solider said he would do anything to remane in the miltary.

The short answer is yes, even one "hot" urinalysis will mean fall-out from his command. Initiation of a separation action is required by regulation, although the command does not have to follow through with separation for a first offense. The Soldier should consider seeking military counsel through the 154th LSO (TDS). See the unit's website. Members of this unit fuflill duties as detailed counsel for Soldiers facing adverse action. Alternatively, he can seek the advice of a civilian attorney experienced in military law matters, although he must use his own resources for a civilian attorney.
