You need to be covered for future medicals, pain and suffering and possible loss of use and enjoyment of life. Need to know age of the child etc., prior accident history if any. Contact a personal injury lawyer in your area. This is not the type of case you should negotiate alone.

I can not stress enough how important it is for you to contact an attorney in your area who handles these types of cases. There are very strict deadlines involved in cases like this and you need to know what they are. If I understand the facts correctly, it clearly sounds like your daughter has a negligence and products liability case. The amount to which she is entitled depends on very many factors. The categories of damages include, but are not limited to, her medical bills (past and future), her pain and suffering, her lost wages or loss of earning capacity(past and future) and perhaps even punitive damages depending on the circumstances. If this limits your daugeter's ability to participate in functions she could do before, there are damages available for that too. Many attorneys will meet with you with you without charging any fee whatsoever. The lawyers in my office certainly will.

Please feel free to call us if you would like to discuss this further.
