Legal Question in Personal Injury in Tennessee

I was sexually molested when I was 12-13 years old 87'-88' by my martial arts instructor who was affiliated with a large organization. When the abuse was discovered the offender was tried and jailed for 1-3 years. I have recently come to the realization of my struggles and demons now that I am medicated for treatment of Schizo-effective type disorder. Many events that have transpired include teenage alcoholism, violent misconduct, and other delinquent behavior that led to incarceration. I have been committed many times and spent more than 6 months in a mental institution. I am left disabled and changed for the worst in many aspects. The events occurred in Tennessee, although I currently reside in PA. Do any statutes apply in filing a lawsuit for damages? What kind of lawsuit and in what area of law would this pertain?
