Legal Question in Personal Injury in Tennessee
Law procedure
I have filed a complaint to the property owners, they have answered. What do I do next? Do I try to set a court date and/or do I respond to their answer?
Also, if I want to bring in the business can I simply add them along with the property owners?
How long will the complaint stay filled with the State?

Re: Law procedure
In answer to your question, I do not want to sound tacky or abrupt. But, to properly answer your question, you need to apply to law school, sign up for Civil Procedure and perhaps Federal Procedure, Real Property Law, Tort Law, Landlord and Tenant Law, Circuit Court Practice, Chancery Court Practice, Remedies, and perhaps Federal Jurisdiction. Once you have completed those courses (or while you are completing them), you need to get a copy of the "local rules of practice" for the court where you have filed your lawsuit. There may be other law courses you need to study before you go forward with your lawsuit. Otherwise there are many, many issues that can, and in all likelihood, will be overlooked by filing your own lawsuit. Sincerely, Bill Poland
Re: Law procedure
You have not given enough information. You have not stated what your suit is about. You have not stated what court you filed in. Without this information and more, it is impossible to answer your question. Good luck.
