How effective is Prepaid Legal Services instead of hiring an Attorney to represent a daycare owner if needed to defend a daycare center accident involving a child?

I don't have any experience with PPL, so I will not comment on their personnel.

I would recommend that you meet with your prospective counsel, no matter who they are, and make sure that you are comfortable with them before hiring.

Day care defense cases are particularly tricky, as the liability can be high. You should first check with your insurance carrier, as they will you usually supply you with counsel, or they will have a list of attorneys who are 'approved' by their policy, for you to select.

Feel free to call us if you would like to discuss your matter further.

I do not know who Pre Paid Legal uses as their attorney. You need to know who the attorney is and is he or she able to handle this type of case. Manytimes these pre paid legal service use new attorneys that may not be as expreienced in exchange for volume service at a reduced rate. Whoever you attorney is you need to check him or her out.

Re: Prepaid Legal Services

I do not know how extensive Pre Paid's legal services will go as defense of such a claim can take a while and cost money. Usually claims against a day care center for accidents involving children are handled by the center's insurance carrier. I know this as I used to represent day care centers. Feel free to call me to ask further questions.
