Legal Question in Product Liability in Tennessee

Case or not?

I bought a used truck from a reputable dealer in Knoxville, TN. A day later the brakes started making a grounding noise. I immediately took it to Sears Auto Center to get new brakes. I was told that my front brake assembly was not bolted to the spindle and that when applying brakes the assembly was grinding into the wheel. The mechanics said that someone had tried to jury-rig the assembly and put it together with J-B Weld. Do I have any leg to stand on in court? I feel like the dealership was playing russian roulette with my wife and I's lives.

You have a case arguably for personal injury or breach of implied warranty for fitness of use -- unless the car was sold to you "as is." I help people represent themselves in court. So if you would like some assistance drafting a complaint but appear in court for yourself and tell your story to the judge, then please check out my web page http://michaelguth.com/prose.htm and contact me through the email button on that page.
