Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee

My Mom lives in Tennessee-she wants to have her land logged-but the logger wants some type of letter or form from my brother, who owns the property next to Mom's. The logger needs to access Mom's property(up the mountain)through my brother's property. He lives in Florida. There have been recent hard feelings between the two of them. Can you suggest a form or the type of information so that the logger will not have a problem with my brother. I am the go-between the two of them and I don't think my brother will deny this, but I would like it all legal looking for everyone concerned.

Notwithstanding whether your mother and Sib ever "make up" with each other, it sounds like there should be a court proceeding establishing "an esasement" on the "land locked" property, that will travel with the land. A survey will proably be necessary but it should be a fairly simple process, that need not further agitate the situation.
