What is the proper acknowledgement on a deed and how many witnesses are required?

The correct wording of an acknowledgement on a deed depends on the capacity of the individual executing the deed (individual, corporation, partnership, etc.). If there is no acknowledgement then 2 witnesses are required.

An individual is transferring property to a trust. I plan an acknowledgement for the deed which will be executed in Tennessee. I would like it to comply with your requirements as well as Rhode Island's. We need only have an acknowledgement.
