Apartment Lease Agreements
I was ask to sign a second year lease ont he apartment that I live in. My company is now transfering me to another state....I still have 5 months left on my 2nd year lease. If I give a 30 days notice am I still oblicated in TN to pay for the other 5 months.

Most likely you are obligated for the balance of the lease term, but it all depends on the language in your lease contract. Some make provision for early termination by the tenant with a penalty buyout (such as tenant can terminate lease early by giving XX days notice and paying an amount equal to YY months rent) Most, however, require payment for the entire term granting the landlord the only early cancellation options (usually as an option on event of default).
