Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee
My boss insists on preparing 3 originals of the lease agreement for execution. The Lessor retains 2 and the Lessee gets one. I feel there should only be one original and that should remain with the party that prepared it. Am I correct and if so, how can I justify this to him?
Thank you,
Elizabeth

Unlike many other documents, it is common practice to execute multiple original leases and for all parties to retain originals.
