Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Tennessee
My boyfriend and I purchased a house 6 years ago. He qualified for a VA loan which was the best way for us to go at the time. Since we are not married I am not on the Mortgage but contribute to the payment each month. What can we do to protect my interest in the property if he were to pass away. He has no will.

Get married, and get wills. Otherwise, if you are not on the title (you did not say), you are likely deemed a tenant paying rent. There is no "my interest" in the property.
